We have been funded to provide low cost counselling for anyone experiencing anxieties and issues as a result of the current pandemic and post pandemic environment.
These are 6 sessions to support people through these strange times.
We are all searching for a new normal and dealing with new situations on a daily basis.
No one needs to be alone.

Walk and Talk Sessions

Gentle exercise, human connection and reconnecting with the outside world

These sessions have been running since the end of July(weather permitting)
With the increased sense of isolation from the pandemic, there has never been a more important time for reconnection with the outside world in a safe, socially distanced, supported way.
These are not marathon exercise sessions! They are gentle exercise, of an agreed distance and time, just to get people moving, making human connection and reconnecting with the outside world.
Walk and Talks take place on Fridays at Portishead, Backwell and Clevedon
We are all looking to find a new normal as we come out of isolation, and reconnecting can help to manage anxieties and worries about the outside.
If you have any questions or wish to register your interest or involvement please contact us at admin@weareaware.info

Peer Support

Socially distanced peer support group.
Face to face support in a facilitated group

We were made aware of the lack of ongoing face to face support for individuals with mental health conditions. We Are Aware, in partnership with Clarity-IMHN began to run a pilot peer support group in Clevedon. We were aware of the increased levels of anxiety and isolation due to the pandemic and restrictions and sought to find a solution. The group has been running since September and we secured funding from Quartet to extend the pilot to meet the increasing demand. The pilot group is at capacity, and we are aware of others still needing support.
To manage numbers in the short term we are running a Zoom option as well.
This is a peer led discussion group, providing structure and support for those involved.
